One of my favorite places to head out for a wedding weekend is towards the Blue Ridge Mountains. There's something magical about the crisp mountain air, the closeness to the natural world and textures of the stunning countryside that feel like home. Avery and Sam felt that too. Even when rain caused a delay in the ceremony, their assurance in waiting inside for a bit longer paid off when the skies parted and left us all with a glorious view and clean air to celebrate. Some say we're closer to God on the tops of mountains, and I for one agree.
