I'm a straightforward romantic, with a Southerner's warm welcome, historian's worldview, and a penchant for nostalgia.

I adore beautiful things (guilty!), but measure my worth on the healthiness of my soul, and I am equally as proud of a well timed joke as I am of any of the many accolades I've collected. I am a woman of deep, restorative faith in God, who champions inclusion and equality. I happily work for all clients of every faith, sexual orientation, and race. I am a free spirit, spontaneous adventurer, and an enthusiastic wife and mother who works hard to cultivate the perfect balance between sophisticated and approachable. With a formal education as a professional Historian, and a long-standing career capturing legacies in front of my camera, I have come to see that photographing each wedding is my own mark on History. In another life, I would have loved to have been a comedian, or a therapist - but I like to think I incorporate both of those skills into my work as a photographer.

My mother-in-law's cooking. A close second would be my favorite sushi and truffle fries. For sweets there's nothing better than something coated in Huckleberry flavoring or caramel. (Cocktail hour? I'd love a good moscato while barefoot - with a view.)

IV. meal

My husband, Shawn (who is the reasonable to my picky), and our two sweet-yet-boisterous little girls, Ireland (9) and Sunday (6). They are the reason I have a special place in my heart for mothers on wedding days. We work daily to raise them with an appreciation for beauty, and the gumption to do hard things when life isn't beautiful.

Our sweet Ragdoll cats, Twinkles and Fancy are our beloved pets that we treat like family members. I love to know about yours too!!!

Interior Design, needlepoint (I am an avid stitcher!), audiobooks, picnics on riverbanks, reruns, crime documentaries, and football.

Impractical footwear, red lipstick, fresh flowers, spontaneous trips, original artwork, mixing patterns, the overuse of exclamation points, and expensive furniture.

II. guilty pleasure

Since we named our firstborn Ireland, I'd say that takes the cake as my favorite destination. I also love Banff, the California Redwoods, and the Grand Tetons. In Autumn there's no where I'd rather be than my sweet Burnsville, NC - our hidden jewel of beauty & hospitality in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
