When Katherine and Jeff decided to drive from their home near Washington DC to the Blue Ridge mountains for their Asheville engagement photography – I knew the perfect spot. That particular spot required miles of dirt road, entering into another state and a steep trudge up a giant hill – but they were up for it, and that made all the difference. I quickly realized that was how these two operated: up for anything, ready for adventure. It’s quite the way to start a marriage, and really highlighted just how perfectly well fit they were for each other. In the end it was just these two, high atop a mountaintop outside Luck, North Carolina with a chill in the air keeping each other warm as cameras snapped around them. There were a few times I was certain they were in their own little world, oblivious to my husband and I as they soaked up a beautiful evening with each other and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
