Even though Winter doesn’t officially start for a few more days, the chill of the last few weeks here in the South has us all convinced otherwise, but Hannah and Jeremy embraced the cold weather and their outdoor ceremony like no other – filling their day with special touches that warmed us all up in no time. From roaring outdoor fireplaces, to cozy blankets, warm cider, s’mores and Hannah’s amazing shawl, it made me wish there were more winter weddings here in beautiful North Carolina!
Beyond the gorgeous details, it was an absolute pleasure to see these two people come together in marriage. It was SO apparent how much they love each other. While their first look was enough to pull my romantic heart strings, I really loved seeing them exchange gifts in such a unique way! Often gifts are exchanged when I’m not there, or letters are swapped from behind a door, but these two sat down and gave each other tokens of their love together side by side. Jeremy gave Hannah a Harry Potter book signed by J.K. Rowling and Hannah gave him one of the prettiest writing pens I’ve ever seen (and for a man who knows his pens, he was blown away). It took everything I had not to squeal with delight as I watched them.
